The Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCAs) in Reading and Math are a series of tests that provide information that helps schools determine how to increase student achievement and measure students’ ability to meet the state’s rigorous academic standards. Westonka students evaluated this past spring came back with scores that are among the state’s best for the 10th consecutive year.
Grade 3 —- #1 in state in reading, #8 in math
Grade 4 —- #1 in state in math, #2 in reading
Grade 5 —- Above state average in reading and math
Grade 6 —- #6 in state in reading
Grade 7 —- Above state average in reading and math
Grade 8 —- Reading score above state average
Grade 9 —- Top 15 in state in writing
Grade 10 — #7 in state in reading
Grade 11 — #8 in state in math
