9/29/18 Grand Opening Celebration!

On May 10th, 2016, Westonka residents approved bond funding for a new performing arts center and activity center on the Mound Westonka High School campus.

Saturday, Sept. 29th, 2018
the Westonka School District welcomed the community
to these new facilities for the first time!

Westonka Activity Center Grand Opening Activities
FREE Family Day activities at the Westonka Activity Center included:
  • Open batting cages
  • Bounce house & face painting
  • Family open swim
  • Parent and child Tae Kwon Do demonstrations
  • Sample fitness classes
  • Concessions for sale from the White Hawks Express
  • Free water bottles and T-shirts for new members

Westonka Performing Arts Center Grand Opening Activities:
Self-guided tours of the new Westonka Performing Arts facility with live entertainment provided by Westonka students and pianist Gavin Berg.

Senior Day Sunday
Senior residents were encouraged to attend Senior Day at the Westonka Activity Center
on Sunday, Sept. 30th, with special classes and activities offered geared to those aged 60 and up.
As parents and residents know, these facilities have been a long time coming and we’re thrilled to finally be opening them up to the community.
